Have a really old toshiba notebook with cd-drive.
Wanted to know whether it is possible, as a transitional solution until we in the new apartment to ordinary televisions have an existing dvd players to connect with my notebook in order to watch dvds?

Quasi only use the notebook to a display, so gehts mir.

ask for help.

Is unlikely, since your laptop should have input to a TV. This has been the least and certainly not old.
In addition, should (if the input would be an appropriate place) your notebook to be able to prepare and display the data accordingly. To have a fluid playback, it should have min. 500Mhz and a correspondingly have yet powerful graphics card. For notebooks, there are way synonymous DVD drives to retrofit () as a replacement for your CD drive. Then you could play because of the films. Or possibly (if your laptop has USB 2.0 Ansöchluss) an external DVD drive connected on loan (?)

Thus, generally, the question is so general is synonymous in the answer: That depends on the laptop and its interfaces from. In some devices, it is possible to connect external video devices analogous to, but not in others. ;-)

The Sapphire Radeon 9550 graphics card has only one video output but no input. Thus it is not possible to watch video on s.PC.

Has your calculator synonymous perhaps a TV card?

Silly if you do not have names for styling. So a "guest", your PC probably has a DVD drive? In this case, would suffice a DVD software player ...

yes, a DVD drive, I have indeed, however, synonymous a new dvd-players, which is connected with a stereo system and therefore has dolby suround. But it does not somehow manage, combine this with the pc to (I believe it to be stupid) ... = (

I thought your DVD player is already connected s.der stereo? What do you want for now, the DVD s.PC watch and hear the sound through the stereo? You lose so slow track :-)

Hi all together,
so am now quite a while in the i-net rumgeirrt and would not find it.

Have the following problem, my DVD recorder reads a certain karaoke DVD without problems, but laptops deny it, because Picture and sound just stay standing (DVD player plays without problems). Because it runs on the DVD player, I bought an additional device to save the Karaoke DVD on the laptop, it would be somehow possible with a program to look directly at the Picture as a quasi Monitior without having to save it? So live, so picture is there, but I have not got the right Prgrammer. To save the program I use PowerDirector. Find a program that works around it like Windows Media Player and just the picture with sound from the DVD recorder reproduces, without any memory.
Would be really cool of you if I could help someone here

Hi,
No. not used A / D converter, but a USB Video Grabber, the included CyberLink PowerProducer indeed synonymous shows a Picture of a preview, but this is too small and is only used as a preview of the file to the laptop. The saved video files are then back to full screen. So I am looking for a program that can do real-time and full-screen show. Pinnacle DVD, the program would bring me something?

Sorry John, could you please aba synonymous through for what I have written above (Karaoke DVD ??!!). But I am only looking for a program that ensures that I can take the DVD recorder as a source, leave at 1 to 1 on the PICTURE sound with the laptop to be able to show, almost as a monitor. However, it should run on the laptop, as synonymous Music, which is on the laptop is placed synonymous. So plain text:
(DVD recorder = source has input on the video grabber) is on a laptop (or less used [only play] as a monitor for the DVD recorder) on a program can be (relatively: as if the laptop has a TV input). I know sounds very complicated, but otherwise I can explain it any more. What is with the Pinnacle DVD Program? Because someone knows something about it?

I have it as far as the hinbekommen connected my dvd players s.meinem notebook, he is recognized as synonymous source, so that the tone of the dvd can hear (for A2 Media Player) but no image is visible. Is there a program to see the image file to the dvd?? If a shcnelle answer me very happy thank you
