I'm da nen small problem: I stand here nen Hi 8 recorder (EVO-9500P) is I think so nen older model. Aufjedenfall I find on the Page of Sonykeine more information about the device. Behind nen Dazzle DVC150 is engaged. Now the question is how do I configure Avid, Avid that I can drive over the recorder.
Under it works reasonably but with Pinnacle Avid I get the point not easy. Can someone give me an answer to this problem?

Hello,
one recorder can be controlled SonyHi8 usually over Lanc or / and infrared. Benefit was that the linear DV editing, when players and recorders of an incision device are controlled remotely.
Once a computer comes into play, to cut analog video recordings that are typically digitized and transmitted to all the shots the hard drive. From there it made the cut, as is customary in the nonlinear range, using software. A device controller is not necessary in this case.
