Frage von hubse:Hi,
I have of my first camcorder I've bought without any prior knowledge in Paraguay (ne decision was lightning, actually wanted to buy a camera NEN) or mass-old material that I would now like to cut all times properly. The material is of a Sony camcorder DCR-DVD405, ie NTSC, interlaced top field.
Now I've been searching forever for a reason why Sony Vegas Pro has 10 with this material so much trouble. If I put so-and-so-many things to do in the timeline, so depends on the program. From Vegas to support my request never got a response, but I read somewhere that the time had quite a lot of things to do with DVD camcorder problems.
Now I'm tired and want to convert the data. In Vegas there is no batch processing, I have no desire to convert all the files individually - then I'd weeks sitting in front of the PC.
Now my two questions:
1. Is there a program with which I can convert the data in batch mode? what someone of ANY DVD Listened - enough program?
2. In what format is to convert self? I've read somewhere that you MPEG2 is not to convert several times in a row because you will lose quality much faster than if for example several times of MP4 in MP4 format ...
Greetings and thanks in advance
Martin

Paraguay has PAL, PAL-N specific. The color carrier frequency is different, almost as in NTSC, but the resolution (720 x 576, 50i) is, however, as in our PAL. With digital media, but this is probably not of concern. In any case, why should Vegas do not straddle.
Can you play the files with any player (s.PC with MPC HC or VLC Media Player by s.TV)?
Otherwise it would be worth a try to try demo versions of other editing software (Magix Video Deluxe and Cyberlink Power Director). So you can at least rule out that the files are broken.

Hi,
with Magix works beautifully. Magix does not crash, no preference how many things I prefer in the timeline. Material can be synonymous with all sorts of wonderful play players. Must be a problem of Vegas. (Vegas crashes for me with things of other camcorders, synonymous with HD material does not, so I think of that there is a problem specifically with DVD video camera data, regardless of whether PAL or NTSC)
According to the event properties is NTSC 720x480 with 8000bit. I'll go out like that in Ciudad del Este me ne American Cam sold. At that time (2005 or 2006) I did not even know that there is PAL and NTSC ...
I try them with the script "Proxy Stream" for Vegas.
