Deinterlace with Virtualdub and deinterlace Smooth of Gunnar Thalin

Hi,
I have a lot in the forum for this topic and read, but I come with the smooth deinterlace not next.
If I use this filter in Virtualdub will invite the Resolutiondes output files in the vertical increases. Have I chosen the wrong settings or do I need another one after the deinterlace filter run? The documentary by Gunnar Thalin not really help me next. On one site I read that the option "Alternate Field Order" option should. None of the changes, however, selectable options, the resolution problem.
I try a DV clip with 720x576 to deinterlace. The filter produces a clip with 720x1152 resolution.

16:9 or 4:3? Sounds to me as if the pixel aspect ratio is not respected.
