Hi,
I would ask you to advise me on something with my hardware problem because I have cameras of more than presentiment of editing systems ...
I have a desktop PC, I have yet to s.and used for minor cuts (DVCAM). The system is as follows:
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q6600@2.40GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte G31M-S2L
RAM: 2x Samsung 2GB DDR2-800
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
Hard Disk: 1x Samsung HD501LJ (500GB, SATA300, 7200rpm), 1x WD (640GB, SATA300, 7200rpm)
System: WinXP SP3
Software: Adobe Premiere CS4 with MainConcept MPEGPRO HD 4 plugin (XDCAM)
This year I want to cut more projects themselves, and above all synonymous HD can work properly. Most likely it Mateial of Canon EOS DSLRs or XDCAM will 442nd
In the past, I unfortunately have to make the experience that the material and the XDCAM 422 H.264 44 Mbit / s native 1080p of the EOS can not be cut smoothly. 2. The board replaced with a new, so I could install 8GB of RAM. (My current is s.der with 4GB limit)
3. two hard disks configured as RAID0.
At this point I would like to ask you how far these measures contribute to a significant performance improvement, or whether it had any proposals Had.
If you are of the opinion that it makes no sense to upgrade my system so I can at least simple cuts (a few effects) achieved acceptable, then I would be synonymous already helped ...

I would rather recommend a new system with base 1155 or 1366!

CS5 would bring significant advantages as compared to CS4 - due to MPE.
