I would like to eventually switch to an Avid and would like the differences between Avid Xpress Pro and Avid Media Composer (sw only) know. Finally, a purchase at a price difference of about 3000 euros to be well thought out.

Clearly, media composer is better.
the xpress version is pretty synonymous, but rather serves the home user and is designed for notebook comes in handy. I would regard it as a emiprofessionelles Watch program.
Media Composer has more features, fewer bugs and is simply the professional program.

Yes, you can say about this. Added to specific restrictions, each of whom must decide whether they are relevant to him or not. The significantly better 35-Mbit quality is only on the Media Composer.
BTW: The extra cost of Media Composer software relativised quickly when you consider that since the complete Boris software is what alone would cost 2.000 EUR. So very many useful things, and of Boris is very well integrated into the Avid.
If you later on a HD format switching, where one HD-SDI connections needed, it may well be that someday the Avid Adrenaline hardware offers individually. Currently, this is not planned, but, if the demand increases thereafter. This works both together immediately.

Note to all reading: The preceding sentence is to be understood as future tense, not as a suspect. It will be possible if Avid to decide an appropriate offer. This is currently not planned, but for the future is not excluded, or even probable means.
And from my point of view only necessary for people who later decide to turn on HDCAM and HDCAM-synonymous one MAZ to purchase. Who, for example with XDCAM HD, an HD Ikegami Editcam or P2 system will work, do not need HD-SDI cabling. The hardware does synonymous more computing power, but that is not primarily necessary because the runterkonvertierte Echteit view on the Mojo is perfectly acceptable.
