Frage von David:
Hi,
I have a digital camcorder with FireWire interface and must shortly shoot a 5-hour event. Can I save directly to my laptop (Win XP), so that I can then burn it to DVD the same?
I read that the AVI-DV format 13GB/Stunde is great. That is something violent on 60GB hard drive. Gibts the option to save the LIVE in a "lower" quality? If so in what and how do I get the then s.geschicktesten on ne DVD?
Thank you in advance for the answers
Gruß David

Hi David,
The format of the DVD since you have not specified, I'm assuming the result could be a DVD-ROM (data DVD be).
In this case, you could use the available free Windows Media Encoder to encode the live image of the camera (recorded via firewire) for sale. It is of course of the processing power of your laptop depends on what quality (resolution, frame rate), the video can be stored.
Check here synonymous processor utilization, because if the processor is already the beginning of s.bei 100%, then it will sooner or later lead to visible deficits. Due to increasing processor temperature namely a decline in performance of the computer. Therefore I reckon plenty of room book. ;-)
Furthermore, the 4-pin Firewire connection is s.Camcorders not very resilient. If the contact is lost (goes with a swing?) Depends on the Windows Media Encoder immediately accepted on the camcorder and no more until the Calculator is restarted. It is on such a mission, of course, impractical.
If I do live broadcasts on the Internet, I make the connection to the camera always on BNC video cable produces (usually up to 50 meters) and place them before the calculator an A / D converter. Thus, the transmission reliability is at a very high level.
