I want to digitize old 8mm films. Who indeed 24fps. I will wait until the firmware update of the 5dmII comes with 24p, and it will filming of an 8mm projector and then digitize the material ...
why with 24fps - so there's nothing "sparkles" on other frame rates ... OR?
I bring it to the PAL DVD .. which is well known, 25fps ... what is the best workflow for flicker NOT let the Picture?
thank you and love greetings jules

Jop when we have the Analogmaterial in 24fps film it s.besten with 24p off. To the 25 fps you come by speed-up. That means you are playing your 24er material easily with 25 fps from, so little faster. If sound is present, he runs well, possibly with pitch correction. Is a common way of working, noticed the difference anyway None.
Enjoy!

If my memory does not deceive me, the standard speed of the Super 8 but 18 fps, right?
Antwort von Hans Huckebein:
Cinema Tools, I do not know, certainly you need to make sure that no Zwischenframes be interpolated, it only concerns a change in velocity. The material itself is not transcoded synonymous. I would say: Try it, if the process should take an unusually long time suggests that attention to a recalculation, unfortunately I can not say more accurate.
Some Super 8 cameras were quite flexible in the frame rates had once borrowed one Leicina RT1, which was as far as I can remember 9, 18, 25 and 54 fps. Accordingly gabs determined synonymous which dominated 24fps.

Hiho!
So it's bissl was her that I filmed Super8 digitized (), but I'm with nem measly PAL miniDV camcorder done so (576i50). More important than the FPS, there was the adjustable shutter (divisible by the refresh rate from the projector), then there's no problems synonymous with flickering or anything. Certainly true of the quality pretty good.
Sliced And Mastered with iMovie and iDVD, in the former version (anno 2005) - Result was pretty neat.
This of course is certainly better quality if you have ne "compatible" frame rate available.
