When we have a MiniDV HD format on mac movie i wanted to play on, the sound was totally distorted. Then we have several at the Camera Einstellugen made until the following work:
Menu: Record / Enter-setup: DV REC MODE SP, AV-> DV OFF;
wiederg/ausg-setup1: TV-Format 4:3, MAIN CHANNEL L + R AUDIO output 1:1;
wiederg/ausg-setup2: AV / KOPFH AV;
The editing program is iMovie HD. we did set to 1080i HD.
With the above settings worked it AGAIN, then again no more! We are desperate, have tried everything - someone knows what? Is it s.Editing program?

We did set to 1080i HD ... With iMovie, I would not nix adjust. Knew not where, even though I have the program on several occasions only to capture use. If anything, would be "HDV" the right attitude. Quicktime may be used in HDV Mpeg Sound not, and there will always be adapted to the capture (why, that is correct, an HDV file, but no longer the original m2t stream on the plate).
iMovieHD so synonymous has different versions. The youngest will be primitive, because in order for the sake of simplicity the functions together has emphasized. Even more primitive than iMovie ever was, one could say. And the Canon series with the "f" mode, like the JVCs with 720p, a special case, with the - possibly - Earlier versions will not klarkamen.
With 6.03 (synonymous an old version) in any event, does the recording via firewire of the XH A1, even in the "f" mode.
iMovie is the test, whether something with firewire cam or not in order. The program takes over via firewire the format settings of the Cam. The program is therefore more likely not.
First, I would describe the camera in VTR mode, the calculator and the camera off and then re-boot. Is it still does not, I would have a different firewire cable to try. And read the manual, what settings for transmission to the calculator is correct. That what you've set, it seems to me DV out with nothing to do.
