Hello, read this article, I discovered that you apparently synonymous coding with a distributed multi-processor systems can achieve? http://www.apple.com/de/finalcutstudio/compressor/encoding.html Has anyone with Qmaster ever created such a cluster? How does or how it is directed that a? Or does it only with external resources, so networked computers? Thank you. Front.

Gude Bzgl. Mac, I can tell you little.
But when the PC is when you board multiprocessor systems, in some Softwear (eg 3D) applications easy to remember.
I've since P3 but no more multiple boards installed but using the PC as a workstation and then let all of Xeon servers in a 19 "rack format render. Saves cost and brings plenty of power with.
The server and the workstations are "partly" interconnected.
But as I said depends on the task - for me is the 3D content - and this is in the basement "2 Fridges" (so I call the server).
But yes it is worth the enormous computing power of multiple PCs to use - there are even people I know the PS3 s network with each other and it can render breakpoint ;-) But I only partially because of what the PS3 very much electricity and swallows a server Rack is because it expects more in regard to electricity consumption.

System Preferences -> Qmaster -> Quick cluster -> at the service options for the number to be used Prozessesorkernen Setting-> Share Click Start -> Compressor in the cluster to render menu.
