Hi,
I have a DVD, VOB whose files
(Output format 720 * 576pixel and represents 16:9)
I would like to compress. DivX format and 16:9.
As I researched the forum and have tried myself synonymous, there are 2 options:
1. Just in the DivX settings under "Format For" select PAL 16:9
or instead
2. under "Custom Resize" the size 720 * 400 pixels themselves.
With which of the two methods I achieve a higher quality, I think method 2, is not it?

With 720 * 400 without any changes to the DAR's I reach the same widescreen display ...

Sorry, meant no change in the PAR's (Pixel Aspect Ratio).
DAR (Display Aspect Ratio) can be found in the DIVX settings do not specify, at least I have not found.
