So I have a video of our wedding in HD (1080i) and the video would like to have on DVD. However, it should look the synonymous beeen at a tube TV quite well.
I work with Sony Vegas 8.0
I tried to habs Pal DV Widescreen to render, but it looks very distorted in the Lappi.
Would be great if someone could give me some tips.

Use the widescreen main concept mpeg2 encoder the best for the DVDA templates for Pal, then you should adjust the aspect ratios (apart of systemic quite narrow black stripes on the page). And so a DVD authore in DVDA.
That is the usual procedure (if you are in Vegas Pro 8 synonymous here have the DVDA).

Listen please read exactly what you have been written here. On a PAL DVD is mpeg2 - and so I had not spoken of avi, but from the
Main Concept mpeg2 encoder. Please use the!
The project settings are wrong - that should be set to your HD material to be cut (to have the cut at about the preview). The project settings have nothing to do with the target format that you set in the Rendereinstelllungen. And the render settings - well, for a DVD in 720x576 (playable on any DVD player) you take just the MainConcept Encoder mpe2.
