Hello,
somebody has an idea whether you can adjust the volume of external microphones Sonyverändern of ECM-HS1) increase (or more? The Micro s.einer SonyDCR-TRV22E and I find the following effects:
built-in Micro: sound is loud, very loud comments from the cameraman, running noise of the camcorder in quiet passages clearly audible, strong wind noise
Zoom (ie internal and external Micro Mix operation): a little softer, barely running noise of the camcorder, sound a bit better, although I had seen no Zoomwirkung
Gun (only external micro): much quieter sound, clear directionality to the front (logically), no running noise of the camcorder, no more wind noise (the foam cover of the mic seems to catch it), sound somewhat lacking in the bass and volume.
So I am quite satisfied up to the volume. Of course, I could increase the volume of the scenes with additional micro-cutting, but the man is so lazy ...
Incidentally, the TRV22E runs with the wide angle adapter VCL-HA06 (extension factor of 0.6) quite good, provided it renounces the last 30% of the zoom there (strong noise and worse picture-but instead one can decrease the Wide Anglewieder ...) and disrupts s.der to light in the maximal Tonnenverzeichnung Wide Anglenicht.
'm Glad to finally get with the camcorder, the same samples as with the Stillimage (WW correspondingly small format 24mm).

The problem probably lies in the fact that the ECM-HS1 has a somewhat lower output level than the built-in microphone possesses, maintains the automatic level control of the TRV22 but its operating point.
I do not think that's bad, because you (as you yourself say) can make the sound louder in arrears. That is, in practice, much like a manual level control used cautiously.
A lot of unpleasant would happen if the sound of HS1 by default would be very loud and then had to readjust the Aussteuerungsautomatik for every fart.
