Frage von ChrisHH:Hi,
I would set me like a Canon EOS 550D (my Panasonic NV-GS230 is already a bit old ..). Have but one question relating to Audio:
What about if I connect an external microphone with no phantom power? Is not controllable level so dramatically? You can adjust the volume control perhaps a firmware update?
And then I would be interested can be seen how long film is about / use live view until the sensor bleats (regardless of the 4GB file limit).
Regards

The lack of manual level control is due to the AGC (auto gain control) problem. The camera tries to quiet sections to make the sound louder, and thus creates an unmistakable noise.
Remedy in this case, the firmware for 550D Magic Lantern.
You can only microphones with mini-jack. And the micro must be operable without phantom power. Otherwise you're nothing.

External Audio Micro does work (most use a Rode (Video Shotgun) but here is pegelbar nichts.Auch not new or strange firmware pegelbar.
Sensor bleats unterschiedlich.Je Nutzung.Bei to me so after 90 minutes when you have permant rotated.
Antwort von MaestroXXV:
I habs just read ... magic lantern has now gain control
Antwort von ChrisHH:
So in about the same scenario as in my Panasonic cam? Nothing pegelbar, only mini-jack. Suitable adapter cable I've already.
Then would be the "easiest" solution, in addition to Magic Lantern, probably a mobile recorder, right?

I recommend the zoom times H1. What you do not get better for the Money. The sound is very very good.
The sound of the 550D + External Micro is ok (for private usable), but for professional matters is the noise too loud.
