Good day together.
I have here a SonyPMW EX-3,
With this camera, I'd like the
slow motion function.
Blöderweise this is not selectable in the menu:
the menu S & Q-Motion is grayed out - not selectable. The manual is not clear why.
What is the problem and can help me?
Was there already a firmware update or something, with which the error can be corrected? Can I see somewhere in the menu what my firmware is?

No, go to our EX-3 synonymous in 720er mode. Neither PAL nor NTSC mode, have tried everything. The menu is always gray. :-(

Apropos Manual: The approach to the "Slow & Quick Motion" recording is then described in great detail. Are you really all presets (format selection, for example, or dial down long enough) correct?

We have - as mentioned above - all sorts of format chosen: both 720er as synonymous 1080er in PAL and NTSC: the menu is always gray and can not be selected.
But I've I think the solution is found: Hab nochmal ins now Manual (German, PDF download of the web site) compatriots, are noticed me two details:
1) Page 126 (Menuoptionen): S & Q Motion is a superscript two behind. The accompanying footnote on Page 129 states:
"Applies only if the remote control RM-B150/B750 connected."
2) The confirmation of the whole can be found on Page 150: "If the remote control is connected, the option" S & Q Motion "(...) activated ..."
So only with remote control, I can upset myself. GRRR!
Can anyone confirm or has someone already function WITHOUT the remote control used? Man man man ...

Since advertising is done, the camera can record various frame rates. I understand that so that they can be used without extra cost 2000 euros.
Especially I like this option again not such a bulky box lug. I've got enough stuff einzupacken. What is so difficult that a variable frame rate camera directly s.der adjustable to make?
Sonyverkackt more and more with me.
PS: Would not it be fraud to advertise a feature that actually works only with an additional expense of approximately one third of the purchase price is?

EX-1: at 720 25p go from 1 to 60 fps at 1080 25p go from 1 to 30 fps.
Had synonymous surprised me, because there are a lot Vimeo clips with slomo etc.
And in a clip is shown how the setting is simple: Einstelknopf until he glows blue, then turn ...

This is it! On the left page of the Camera button press FRAME (has already been made, but I did `s not checked, sorry!) Until it glows blue: it is synonymous in the display, S & Q Motion displays and the framerate of the recording can be on the FRAME wheel set. The adjustment possibilities are determined by the mode set in 1080 is probably the 1.25 x frame rate set at 2.5 times the 720.

The menu S & Q Motion will therefore continue to gray or not selectable. This is ONLY if you selected the external remote control has.

When the German manual is so vague, then you Lad times for safety's sake the English down: This is very detailed and has, inter alia, a separate chapter "Slow & Quick Motion Recording," in which everything that you finally fortunately still have found , and quite clearly described. Thanks for the tip. Times I'll look into the English Manual. But I'm not even sure whether the manuals so different, I've - as mentioned - in the index just after S & Q Motion sought, perhaps I just hätt other words (Slow Motion / Time Lapse, etc.) should seek .
