Frage von DrNibbert:Hi!
I note with my EX1 always Cromat aberration, especially if I zoom in full.
As far as I know the EX1 has an electronic CA-correction - it is possible to readjust them / re-calibrate?
In manual I find nothing, but since the menu items of the menu does not explain servics-general ...
Thanks for tips!
Here is an example photo:

Antwort von ruessel:
Iris F14 what's this?
Yes, it can be adjusted, but only in the Sony Service Center.

Iris F14
what's this? Why not?
it is appropriate based on the sample image can be adjusted to the CA correction or is this "normal"?
Antwort von ruessel:
Why not?
Antwort von Bernd E.:
... Iris F14, 5 .. Why not? ... Speaking against the so-called diffraction blur, the strikes depending on the built-in sensor. In the case of the EX1 - or a 1 / 2 "Camera in general - I would avoid it, than to 5.6 or more than 8 to dim the BBC writes about this in their rating of EX1 and EX3 follows:." Very small Lens Aperture soften the picture and produce visible color-fringing due to diffraction effects in the iris, the neutral density filters included are the better alternative to small aperture when shooting in very bright light. "particular interest, read up s.dieser optical law s . best something in the theme of "enabling Aperture.
Since specifically synonymous of "color fringing" can talk, you synonymous check that the CA-effect disappears in your recordings, or at least weakening, if you are simply working only in the ideal aperture range. Some recalibration in the service center would be unnecessary.
Antwort von DrNibbert:
Thanks Bernd, with the "beneficial Aperture, I had never been employed, I'm now much more open the Aperture for color fringing provides. (I once had a bit of "Coma errors" in this context is one)
Heist, the general rule that I can have my Aperture always open and the exposure rather with ND Filter Shutter and regulators; or kicking at fully open aperture others problems (except of lesser depth of field)?
Russell, what do you mean with the "sweet spot"?
Antwort von Bernd E.:
... Come with fully open aperture others problems (except of lesser depth )?... Few Lenses achieve their best image quality at full aperture, so that the Sharpness sake certainly should dim slightly. How to get it quickly in this area of supportive / ideal / optimal Aperture, which is the best compromise. In practice, I would noBedenken however, use a EX1 synonymous with full aperture, because the difference is expected in normal shots do not fall more into the eye. We have used, for example in the previous year with a production time with an EX1 open Aperture as a crane camera, and the image has been easily accepted of a public service broadcaster. Too little contrast, Aperture can do more damage.
Heist ... the general rule that I can have my Aperture always open and the better exposure with ND Filter and Shutter Regulate ... For practice that is, in fact, regulate the exposure as possible through the ND filter (within rather narrow limits synonymous with the shutter, if needs be and the motif is allowed) and thereby take care not about this part of beneficial to get out Aperture. Aperture of 2,8 - 4-5.6 one is safe on the page.

read this thread:
Aperture - Shutter limits and optimal settings? In my opinion one of the best threads here on this subject.
Then synonymous this:
What exactly high shutter speeds? (Shutterspeed) Shutter 1 / 250 with Schliereffekt? The gain is synonymous to the exposure, and to gabs interesting (based directly on the synonymous EX1/EX3) in this thread:
Gain 3db And here's a slashCAM article:
