Hi,
have now experienced what is the disadvantages of a recording on memory cards.
Following happened:
I have included a play in July, pushed s.selben day the folder of the card to my hard drive.
There converted by XDCam Tranfer and imported into Final Cut.
The copied folder of deleted the card and hard drive.
Project saved and can be up yesterday.
Then yesterday I started to cut it and then realized that missing 30 minutes video.
I assume that I have indeed probably all copies of the map, but not everything had changed with XDCam transfer - or possibly convert even the missing file after I deleted.
On the question SXS card to this day about 4 times new material was recorded (always formatted in front)
The external hard drive is 1.5 TB in size and was not called to work. There were only slight put other projects which affect more than a write operation, the file in question could have.
I've searched the SXS card with Easy Recovery 6 and synonymous with the hard drive Data Rescue 2 and ransacked found to have lots of file, it could be.
Unless Sogut - containing only problem is that video files of the EX1 are not working, but are always converted to their existing Dateistrucktur must. The MP4 files are not as useful.

Why do you do something?
I will always raw material at least until the project completion on the hard drive, sometimes synonymous mirrored or backed up at least still separately on BluRay. Just to avoid the meltdown.
So you should continue your workflow try to supplement by fuses! Space cost is no longer the world:)
To restore I can not give any help to you ...

ne misunderstood.
I have not deleted intentionally raw material.
The material of the SXS card must be changed, yes. For this I have copied the folders 1to1 of the map on my hard drive and then converted here.
Thus, I had then my Final Cut movs. But the folder of the SXS card that I had copied onto my hard drive, of which I have deleted the record. Did I not know because the movs probably all were there.
Only the end. The Project then yes I have, because I knew I not edit it immediately reflected on a 2nd drive. So there exists 2 times. Only 2 times 30min with too little video footage.
In that respect I am very careful about data loss.

The MP4 files can be of various players to play, test it with eg the VLC player.
If it is playable, you can kovertieren it synonymous!
And if it should go with the not convert, you can capture it if necessary (with quality loss)
Perhaps this helps and you have learned something for next project -> always prefer to go safe!

I had only borrowed the ex1 synonymous. I use a standard hard drive with z1 ext. where do I record on DV tape and disk simultaneously.
how can I capture mp4? in final cut?
have the vlc and all sorts of other players already tried?

Then I have to tell you when the VLC player, the MP4 file can not read the data is corrupted / unreadable.
Most Recovery Programs related although the folder structure and with the MP4 files even have the correct Mb size, but the content could not be restored.
