Following an odyssey between Sony PrimeSupport, Sony and Sony Japan, Austria, I have now received a quotation for the repair: 2082 EUR (; two thousand eighty-two).
Does anyone have similar experiences made here. Good Tips? Good contacts with Sony? Fair trading solutions known?

Meanwhile informed Sonymich, that restoring the firmware at the factory in Japan to about EUR 290 net is possible. I have chosen this option (instead of a replacement board to ¬ 2,100). In 2-3 weeks I hope to report the return of my EX1.
