Interesting idea.
But the ratio of 10:1 in favor of the cameras, refers to volume, not on sales. Since the camcorder proportion is probably much higher.
Canon is synonymous know that developments in camcorder repeatedly pauses for reflection were eingegelegt to shine it with really convincing models. Canon apparently is waiting - for camcorders, at least - from happy to move in the direction the train.
Aside from the independent segment, Canon is not very innovative synonymous with digital cameras at a time. The film features the newly announced Panasonic and Sony (with real AVCHD!) Appear far more attractive.
So I tip rather than on "pause for changes in policy.

I am synonymous Meihnung of the Canon probably prefer waiting.
A few small hand camcorder like the X class (XH / XL) which will produce the next well.
Let us wait ;-)
