Hello!
If my 16:9 movie burn to DVD via Encore CS4, gibts playing a problem.
So I look at the DVD on the PC, everything is perfect.
Do I look it on the television, there is always the same problem.
Left and right, wanting a piece (each approximately estimated 40-50 pixels), which in the video is unforgivable.
I've tried it on 2 TV's, always the same.
Confusing only that it is perfectly displayed on the PC (in windows media player).
Has anyone an idea?

This is probably s.Overscan of TVs. In a TFT / Plasma is likely to be correctable with a tube set is not.
The use of titles, it is advisable to activate the security zone in title NLE, as one otherwise reported in the areas that would be cut off, could reach.

Can I then set a safety zone for the entire video, or there would be problems on LCD / plasma?

Yes, so then you should have some kind of black border around it.
If the material but no longer exists (that was rotated without considering the underscan to DVD menus and animations have also left underscan) aside, it is you no other choice.
To make it look any prettier a little, as if it was intentional:
Solution A:

3. Make thin white border around the video in the upper track (if it fits).

Solution B:

Pack also compressed on the DVD with a video file to a PC / Mac codec is normal.

Solution C (if you hell-bent on a DVD wish to have the menu):

That would be synonymous not so desirable. No, this edge is ONLY visible in the NLE. On the video will be changed by anything! This edge is for guidance only in order to use effects, such as PiPs, not outside the visible range, as well as titles.
