Frage von marie:Hello, I greet you all and hope someone can help me.
I have a new lap top with Windows XP and would like the Avid rumschleppen with me. The installation and use of the program has again worked out perfectly except that now the Avid firewire input do not want to recognize, I think.
When I launch Avid, this message appears: "No serial port could be found for deck control", and no data can be transferred from the DV camera into the program.
Windows Movie Maker but has zero problems the footage from the DV-camera FireWire connection on my record, so do not liegts s.der Camera or the connection to the PC.
When I try capturing in Avid, he indicates: "no input signal present".
When I select on "Settings, Preferences deck," the connection, Firewire & the camera-type (the list is found in), and now press on "auto-configure" will delete the selected camera, no-preference the camera as I enter.
So if anyone has an idea what I might try it, I would be very happy
nice greeting, Marie

7468 - no input signal present: "...
-if there are any current channels, delete them, by clicking in the green background of the channel, and selecting delete on the right side of the Deck Configuration panel
-Select Add Channel, and configure the channel for the Firewire. The port setting will be OHCI (no Mojo) or Avid DNA (with a mojo)
- Do not autoconfigure the channel when it prompts you to.
... " But once you read the whole post through, perhaps, does it matter ...
