Hello, 'm still fairly new in the video section, but I successfully edited with Adobe Premiere CS3 has some videos. Now, I have a problem: I'm from MP4 files, cut a about 1.5 hours long video (;) with no effects. Exports to MP2 (; synonymous or other format) through the Media Encoder is now so at the last 26 hours! Of course, my PC is now not the newest (; Pentium D 805), but otherwise he has exported a similar length videos in much less time.
Why might that be? If you still need some data, tell it. Did as I said (; not yet) so much knowledge in the field.
Schonmal Thanks for your help!

Well I would imagine that (a dual-core for a 1.5 hour long video and re-encoding of mpeg4 to MPEG 2 in the best quality, 2 rendering passes) takes time. Is the HD material?

with AP I do not know me so good - but - directly from the timeline to m2v mpeg2 encode takes as synonymous with a 8CORE (; FCS with Compressor) for half an eternity! often it is far quicker than, say, export your movie to avi, and (it's only then encode to mpeg2 too, right in the coding Progarmm) - according to the selected avi codec should be no great loss of quality! try it out!
