in terms of after effects cs3 I'm looking for me already blind when it comes to finding a video codec, the quality of the video allows almost lossless materials. I've heard you should render the video material in the list and add the lossless format, quicktime-film (; save JPEG 95%). The thing is that the material of 10 seconds, about 90 MB can be large.
My question would be:
is there not a memory-efficient method to save videos in an optimal quality to?
and
With whom am I making top format is now the best quality regardless of the final size of the video materials?
would be glad to answer about robert r.

Regardless of the final size? Of course, uncompressed or compressed with a lossless codec. With the resulting file sizes you will need to live.
Otherwise it's just depend on it, what do you do with the finished product or what ever you anvisierst as the end product - what platform it will be playable with what resources required, it must be playable at all, or enough an archive format that is an intermediate which will be processed next, are color space conversions or reductions involved, etc.
I admit, a fairly recent comprehensive overview of the relevant characteristics of various codecs would be useful.
What operating systems do you work?

I work for the time on Windows Vista. where I could inform me about the storage formats, such as what is suitable for what?
Antwort von carstenkurz:
Because I know nothing current. Something like a reasonably timely updated codec wiki would really make any mistakes.

if I want to further process the material, I always take animation to be small wenns h264 with limited data rate depending on the desired quality or performance Enndgröße
