Hello together. Since this is asked very often to freeware solutions to the problem one or the other, I thought, maybe it would make sense if one views gathers in a variety of freeware thread, to the result then including them in the FAQ.
I think it would be good to just post once everyone has the desire and finds it useful to him) well-known freeware Programs (including their function, that are here in the forum of interest. Well, that's what I findd interesting. I did not know that there are so many GOOD AND SUBSTANTIAL (what you read about it) freeware for editing + effects exist. Unfortunately, I can (contribute) nor anything but I hope to grow the library. 'm Here just on the search for a freeware editing program drübergestolpert. So my hats have helped.

So from capture to Encoding on the finished DVD, and everything in between (editing, compositing, image editing, 2-D animation, 3-D animation, effects processing, etc.). What does this encode and DVD authoring is concerned, I know myself unfortunately not all that, so I hope there specifically to numerous messages.
And should free picture or sound material is there, then add in any case synonymous with - but collect separate. That would be my suggestion.

TMPG is available as a commercial (Pegasys) and as a "trial" (Tsunami / Hori). Previously, the Hori has released approximately every 30 days a new version of the trial. Which could then be tested 30 days, then came expired for the MPEG-2-part trial reporting. Then you had to download the new version ... Whether that is synonymous, so today? I use TMPG now only an occasional Cutten, all other functions as MPEG-2 are indeed royalty-free.

HOWEVER, only 14 days is free. He was probably time, or possibly an older version is freeware. Could not find out anything more accurate.

Have a long time ago once messing around with one morphing program, after which I have now googled again: MorphMan. It is at version 4.0, but the version 1.1, which I think is now as then FREEWARE. Get it at: http://www.stoik.com/ under downloads -> free.
unfortunately I can not say whether the program was somehow good or not. I have the time - guess 5 years ago - nem of his old friend (and my first) PC with Windows 95 (!!!) to get paid. A landscape generator, similar to (alternative to Bryce Terragen, as has already been written). Has a friend of me on the PC, see me, but nowhere near as high as in Terragen (apart synonymous s.den screenshots on the homepage). Nevertheless, there is surely an od other application where you can achieve some very useful results with it.

For the Microsoft DV codec, the QuickTime DV codec and the Sony DV codec on the fly, I could not download sources make out. The former is already included with Windows btw. integrated into DirectX from Microsoft, too.
Apparently not as freeware, there is the MainConcept DV Codec (http://www.mainconcept.de/codecs.shtml 49 ¬). Only available as a free demo version, which expects a logo into the picture.

The variant with free codec site sounds good. Similarly, a separate listing of the various DV codecs.
Would be interesting in this context perhaps all the "lossless" codecs (eg Huffyuv, which was already known), and all other required for the DV editing could be approximated to be relevant (I'm thinking s.MJPEG).

Chopper XP is a tool that lets you extract a part of any DVD easily. It is a Vob cutting program with a video display and a great interface. You just need to scroll to a location and select mark in and out points. The program also lets you set any priority of extraction and displays the estimated time left for extraction.

I've made smart again. das ding is part of the Microsoft Expression family. the current beta version of the "Graphic Designer" Microsoft is, as far as I can understand it until june 2006 free to download. known is the program most synonymous with the former name "Acrylic". in another forum has posted the direct download link, and there it was said that is okay. do that now synonymous times - otherwise please delete easily.

Apple Cinema Tools works effectively only on a Mac and is the Final Cut package.
24p, and that this "something" called "film look", it is about 2% of the truth (and synonymous as wrong) --- what is always synonymous for truth. There are a lot of information about this topic that it makes no more fun to repeat it another go. The reading of the threads on the topic is synonymous exhausting, as synonymous much has been written, which is not quite so correct. Synonymous, and the authors seem to cope with the answers to fragmented, run well because the problem in entirely unexpected directions and details.
