Ad 1: Unfortunately I have no direct Comparison, but I think I have read that the imaging performance of the FX 1000 in Comparison to the FX1 should be improved. To tease out that one should, however, both cameras under identical conditions set manual. And I say, on a DVD or standard TV we see no difference.
Re 2: Why does the picture quality will be as bad? I accept in principle, be in HD, synonymous to later have the opportunity to spend that material in HD (keyword BlueRay).
