Frage von Bohemia:Hello,
I've now repeated times to the following problem:
I want a project that more than 20min. lasts, as a "film" from Premier to an external hard drive to export. At the end of the process shows me prime indicates that the operation failed because not enough space available. But this is definitely not the case.
I have this error message every time so far, if I create a Project which is longer than 20min, wanted to export.
Why? What can I do so I still can export Project?
Antwort von Andreas_Kiel:
The external disk with FAT32 seems to be formatted. 20 minutes could be DV-AVI schlapp 4 GByte, which is the maximum size allowed for a Einzelfile.
Remedy: external disk to NTFS format or if it is not too much is full, can convert. The latter lasts and is risky. If you like because the power outage, good night, data.

FP External FAT32 formatted?
Antwort von Andreas_Kiel:
First!
Antwort von Bohemia:
Can I use the hard drive because NTFS format, although they have more than 50% is occupied with data? Or, the data in the format then all is lost?
Antwort von steve:
the format: Yes. Alternative: Converting, but: see above ...
I would create a new ext. Plate and take it only for video use.

Have a similar problem: I want an external disk in OSX s.XP use as synonymous. Will probably only FAT32 as a common denominator?
Antwort von Chezus:
Yes and no, there's a tool to help you on both systems can work.
Or. there is a tool for the Mac with NTFS you can describe.
Grad does not know now how the states. Is synonymous Shareware

MAC Opener
MAC Drive
is already in the similar thread called
Antwort von Andreas_Kiel:
Again, synonymous if the above is already there - because of the dangers:
An already filled plate to convert is POSSIBLE. The more data on it are, the longer it takes.
During a power outage during the conversion (which is unlikely in Germany, but also possible) the data are gone. With a little luck, the plate then also unusable (formerly, the seniors among us know it yet, you could low level format, the times are now gone). If you have something so plan to bring the data to another disk in security (or entrümpeln).
