Hello Slashcam forum
I am looking for a software for my "problem" and apparently I can not find the right word to find the right answer to ... that is why I am asking just for times.
I have an event of two different video files, a. Mp4 and a. Dv - from these two videos I'd like to create a single film or intercutting. Now I'm looking for the right software for this task, they like to run on Linux can be synonymous or synonymous with costs for Windows and not be too complicated, because synonymous if I am a computer geek, I've had with digital videos are not yet much s.Hut:)

The best thing erstmal give out any money. With Windows, the Windows Movie Maker comes (;> Start> Programs> Windows Movie Maker). It is partly rightly called a stupid program, but partly synonymous with injustice. The daughter of my neighbor has a Digi-Take a photo with the samples of a school's performance very cinematically staged and proudly showed me the movies. I was flabbergasted and asked her to show me the time to WMM. The first assumes that the user is
still doofer than the program and harassed him with no warnings about incompatible codecs, image sizes and frame rates. He eats it easy. Secondly, it does not prevent a manipulating his film after his own ideas, he offers it to the user strunzdoofen just not on (; "troubling"). This is some tricky, but not if you really beginners, and is really "just want to cut. Try it out.
What you can do to make it easier for you and the WMM to: Compare size and aspect ratio in which you are the clips of the two cams easy time to play. Mp4 should be in 16:9 (; what it is, you know for sure), but the dv is in 4:3, it is not an entirely elegant way to combine the videos. Then you might as preparation nor the mp4 with MpegStreamclip (; free) to convert dv, ideally with the same frame rate / s as the other stuff, and start simple.

Yes, on this WMM I have read about him and (of course), synonymous like trying to use for this case - but he accepted me when neither the media nor in dv in mp4 format: (
And yes, both videos are in 16:9 - so it should probably be solved;)

Yes, sorry, am just on a Mac platform, and I still win the WMM. Accepts everything in the "Avi" - is container. With the aforementioned MpegStreamclip is Quicktime player (free) condition, but that it works, if you "Export as AVI" elect. Would probably be easier to "Super", which I do not install extra.
What's with this "Avi" has to be: the data itself, the video is not changed, it is only for Windows conforms. In the case of video really harmless. Reports.
