Frage von harald612:Hello,
I use Magix Video Deluxe 2007 for video editing. My notebook has the following performance data:
- PIII 1.2 GHz
- 1024 MB RAM
- DVD Burner
- Firewire
I import of my Mini DV camcorder via firewire. If I use the video in the preview look Magix, then it is easy jerky.
Is my calculator too weak, or what can you do?
Mfg Harald

Is my calculator too weak, or what can you do? Times I would suspect, especially since the notebooks with this processor generation still relatively slow hard disks had. Graphics (as always missing valuable information the Asker's) is synonymous in question ...
If the video again to smooth the camcorder is off, it's only a cosmetic problem. You can also try the hard drive to defragment and possibly running in the background, but not necessary Programs abzuwürgen (Norton is quite a performance brake). By upgrading, I would view the current prices notebooks do not stop - it is and remains an old crate. When purchasing new models necessarily buy with Windows XP - Vista runs with most video programs do not (yet).

And if I use the mini-DV format of 25 Mbit / s converter first, then with smaller data streams to work? Is this possible? If so, what should I do?
Thanks for the help
Harald
Antwort von Quadruplex:
And if I use the mini-DV format of 25 Mbit / s first converter You'll need it anyway only to disk in real time through play.
and then with smaller data streams to work? Nice idea - that relieves you like your hard drive, but charged to your schwachbrüstigen Processor, because all the codecs that are in question would be computationally intensive than IR. Moreover, they deteriorate the quality. Also, you put your videos until after the dubbing, for example, in MPEG-2 Convert what Processor synonymous with this matter would be lengthy.

Slower (power) processors, slower hard disks and on average just over 50% more expensive than a comparable desktop.
One for DV DV editing PC fast enough but there's been for about 500 Euros (new). What older to 3GHz already p.100. N nice 21 "Roehrenmonitor kost synonymous only about 40-50 (if you're lucky even of what Eizo).

And above all, no laptop. This is surely the place / personal wishes and preferences.
Slower (power) processors The CAN save when they hang s.Battery - s.der outlet, they are just as fast as comparable desktop counterparts.
slower hard disks The trend: yes, but certainly for DV more than fast enough.
and an average of just over 50% more expensive than a comparable desktop. It has no longer offers geguckt? Notebook with Firewire, 15-inch screen and 80-GB disk, there's s.600 EUR about HP Compaq NX 7300th

It has no longer offers geguckt? Notebook with Firewire, 15-inch screen and 80-GB disk, there's s.600 EUR about HP Compaq NX 7300th Yes, the Celeron M440 is synonymous almost as fast as an almost antiquarian P4 3.2 GHz.
Sufficient for DV Editing: secure.
Not even faster than something that is 300 euros for the PC user (with warranty) gets: secure.
Video editing is just one of the few areas of application are very strongly of the processor power to benefit.
If you are not really mobile is forced to work has a laptop in the field really no benefits.
This is surely the place / personal wishes and preferences. That's true of course. Nevertheless, a little sound background knowledge does not hurt.
