Frage von Tagträumer:Hello,
I have several HDV projects, with Final Cut were created.
Since I myself did not have a Mac, I would like to welcome the new Premiere CS4 function, and the Final Cut projects in CS4 import.
The problem: The material was captured with Final Cut and Final Cut is, therefore, with the HDV codec hdv3, which on my Windows PC Of Premiere CS4 can not be imported.
Since it is about 30-40 hours and material about 15 projects, I am looking for a solution, when I order a new Capture (and assign) of the material drumerhum come.
Has anyone here perhaps an approach?
In my desperation, I have already tried the following:
(From an hour-long forums & Google Search of course not to mention)
- Rename the file extensions, or add the file extension. Mov clip to - does not, of course, since it still lacks the necessary codec.
- Installation or update of Quick Time Player Pro, which is now in the latest version synonymous with ProRes for Windows is - obviously not synonymous, because the material is not captured with this codec was
Has anyone perhaps any advice?
Maybe there are still hidden somewhere a codec or a plugin for Windows that I can help bail out?
Alternatively, or better said than stopgap, I would be synonymous on an encoder with the tip, I appreciate the Final Cut HDV files in a format and Windows can convert that s.den possible loss of quality is low and b) of Premiere can be imported.
Preferably as a batch converter, because it is the very large number of files.
I work with Vista 64bit, 2 x Nvidia 8800GT, 8GB RAM and just Premiere CS4.
Thank you for your tips.

PowerMac Hi,
is not in a "But this is unkind formulated" to start discussion, who never brings anything --
Of course, I am on this Beiräge pushed, and they had me read through all.
So I assume that you have so synonymous unfortunately no other tip, when the new material on capture, or in another format or another codec to convert?
None If another solution / suggestion I would have an encoder-Tip pleased with what I countless clips when capturing of about 40 tapes with scene detection, are to convert it. It's best with the required settings.
Many greetings

You have long researched. Then you will like me know that it does not.
You can download the clips s.PC not convert. From Final Cut Pro via Compressor to export everything. Pro Res 422, HDTV. There is no other option. The HDV codec in Final Cut Pro is a proprietary crutch.

Hi,
PowerMac - first thank you for your help.
Since converting to my knowledge, and your info at the moment seems the only solution, I'd be glad this is already on my PC to make.
However, unfortunately, strikes me as the solution with the VLC player is not very practical because I have hundreds of files, which I in my understanding and trying to convert all individually have. Schade eigentlich.
When I saw it correctly, the asker of you posted in the forum post the material synonymous with any other codec available. I can in my VLC player (latest version) While playing the files, but when you Converter is for me not to Choice. And this is possibly more a problem for others who enjoy the "VLC-player conversion solution," want to use.
Without a way through a batch conversion to do this for me more work and time than all the tapes to re-capture.
Crap, now I am still a bit puzzled and as time goes by.
Maybe someone knows another converter, the Final Cut with the HDV codec in HDV3 "premierefähige video files and can convert it in batch mode?
Many greetings

Yes you should leave no stone unturned, so I have to convert in attack with Compressor wishing to synonymous when a test clip of 20 seconds already 2-3 minutes needed to convert.
If I missed something or you can not actually target and encoding settings to all sources located in the stack of files at once use?
Say I have to actually assign each file individually and in what format in which folder they should be converted?
When the crowd s.Material that I present here and with the MacBook seems to me the conversion macbasierte with demCompressor in this case is not the optimal solution.
However, there is a lack s.Alternativen.
This is really a very annoying problem.
What is perhaps still a Windows-based alternative?
Thanks for any tip.
