Hi together,
quick question I have before me buy a Mac Pro and Final Cut to be installed on the home page of Apple, I have two versions of Final Cut is found which is better? I cut a lot of HDV material!

There is the package "Final Cut Studio 2 (FCS =)" and the "Final Cut Express (FCE). The former is better because in the package are a lot of other professional programs. The second is just a small program with few editing features. HDV goes with them. FCS is better optimized for the Mac Pro.

"Pro iMac? What is that? There is only the "iMac". A good iMac, so each current is sufficient for HDV synonymous.

It is nonsense to claim that FCE in the current version only editing a small program with few features is. iMovie08 is a simple editing program (step back from iMovie HD), FCE loose fit for Semi-Pro Claims.
FCS brings with some additional programs, such as Color and Motion in particular, which are useful when they need. FCE comes with the program LifeType, with the permits can be properly and with soundtrack. All details can be found

Sure, who needs the codecs must be put on FCS, otherwise runs on the cut side in FCE nothing different, than in FCS. Which version is it just depends entirely of the personal needs. A little editing program looks to me different than FCE.
Old versions to compare is idle. Does nothing, because nobody with a current (IntelMac) on the old PPC Programs will fall back. It is but in the nature of things that new versions feature an expanded scope. Exception, see below.
To iMovie 08 Question: retrograde step because it is in the new iMovie timeline no longer exists.
