Frage von urban-orange:Hello community,
I have the new downloaded VirtualDub 1.6.19, which is the latest version, Avery Lee as "Stable" expelled.
Until now I always have the Panasonic DV codec used to DV VfW-compatible to make and with VDub to read. The Pana-codec has a disadvantage: If after DV is encoded (no preference with the codec) is the color reduced. Normally the resulting Farbkanten when decode again smoothed. That's why you see s.Television nothing, because the DV decoder to the D / A converter in one device (D / A converter, DV camcorder, etc.) before these same smoothing out. Decodes s.PC is now with the Panasonic DV codec, not the smooth and there are Farbtreppen (especially visible s.roten edges). I now capture as analog-DV and VHS in VDub would make the post, so I process the "stairs" with - particularly cumbersome in the correction of color shift.
The new VirtualDub now has its own DV Decoder "s.Bord" which makes a perfect Farbglättung. VDub default, but an external codec (just makes me Pana) if one exists. To prevent this, one must under
Options-> Preferences-> AVI the hook
"prefer over internal decoders installed third-party codecs" box.
Only then will the internal decoder is used! En To encode, you can safely Panasonic codec take!
What on new VirtualDub?
Greeting
Alex

VirtualDub only Kenn hearsay.
I capture with Canopus Scenalyzer as compatible file and edit the material is synonymous with the Canopus codec.
Perhaps that is why I actually do not limit / reduce Farbinfo noticed?
Incidentally, the DV codec Panasonoc with the Microsoft of the same.

I do not think so Farbreduzierung you can easily see (smoothing provided), precisely because the lower color of our eyes makes DV so used to in order to save data.
The Canopus Codec (I do not know him) is probably synonymous with the smooth decoding. But well, now I have a solution with the new VDub! Tute and to encode the Panasonic codec (Micro $ oft?) Fine.

Au weia,
the world of DV capturing is full of misunderstandings!
Here someone has the 'Professional English explanations' of Avery Lee to get the wrong neck.
1. The transmission of digital camera to digital hard drive should be bit-precise.
This rarely works, the programs which have capturing function, the calculator has a burden by their presence.
2. A developer of capturing the DOS-Programs-and-Windows2 time according to ancient philosophy (all of the power of the computer task) a minimalist program is that synonymous to (modern) home PC with a DV data comes clear.
It costs nothing, here: http://www.rulernet.de/ (video freaks, DV-Manager)
3. This file can be with any video editor, if desired linear editing is VirtualDub RKS Page of the above certainly the best choice.
Have fun, Roni
