Hello, everybody. I just came across your forum and hope you can help me?
Currently I have an analog camcorder of JVC, which cost me more and more nerves.
I need to record the camcorder in the first instance of the dance competitions.
It is important for me:
- Good image stabilization, since in most cases without Tripod
- Suitable for sporting events (fast focus)
- DV-in and-out
- Good image quality in closed rooms without additional light source
- 16:9 Recording Format
- Compact design
- Not too expensive (s.bis thought about 400EUR, if there is anything in this price range I would still synonymous to go 500EUR)
Hope you can help me here? But I am very optimistic!

Canon MV 830i (about 360EUR)
SonyHC 17 (about 350EUR)
What would you recommend me for the above purposes, or you've still alternatives?
Until now, I would probably prefer the Canon as 16:9 and DV-in and-out.
