've Just 4 and 3 dikke Win7 Calculator Canon XH A1S for Media Education and bought now this:
Camera via FireWire s.den Calculator and nothing happens.
gegooglt and found out: win7 and FW will not quite.
HP (Manufacturer of PCs) had no useful advice, Canon any more (yes, the story with the old legacy drivers I've tried synonymous ...).
Did any of you have an idea?
Maybe a PCI FW card with a good manufacturer supplied drivers?
Given someone a tip?

So for me on the laptop it works fine (bit integrated FW port with no special drivers and Windows 7 / 64).
In Device Manager everything is OK? And have you tried different Videoprogamme?

I do not think it is s.der firewire card. Any cheap should run without problems that's just Win7 compatible.
Have you ever tried to download a Firewire plug-in? So I mark something with WinXP, if this is installed, the FW connection does not break much better and more together. Maybe that helps, yes.
But I was synonymous with Win7 has some problems. If you have not tried to turn on the camera you have not played together s.Calculator FW connection and then boot up the computer first. That helped me sometimes.
