have an older broken Sharp VL-Z7 camcorder.
A pin in the Firewire connection is aborted.
Otherwise it is fully operational.
What should the repair cost, and who makes sowas.
Can buy only the male connector.
Would dare maybe a repair, he is already kaput.,

I would venture to repair immediately, probably a soldering iron will have. The FireWire jack or a cable with such a female is likely to be to be found.
