I have the SonyDCR-PC330E. Now I wanted to dub a movie via Firewire cable to my laptop. Since, however, always comes the error message: It was recognized no video device. If so, the PC will not auto detect? (As if I have a digicam via USB)?

Strive times the search with the words "if firewire not working properly"). There you will find some helpful hints on this problem.
Especially for the PC330 as I can remember s.einen relatively old thread where the problem lay s.der Firewire connection. Since we only had something friemeln s.Male and the problem was fixed.

Have the same problem with my sony dcr pc 330e. By no fire wire connection comes into the notebook. The instructions for modifying the plug, I have not yet tried. Which solution to the problem you found?
