I know the Firewire and USB protocols have different but ...
Now I've seen on E-Bad cheap adapter - it is thrown money?
and as the alternative with an external hard drive would be the Firewire and USB has a connection?
Antwort von thos-berlin:
What do you want with the adapter? Except for the Fstplatte synonymous for other devices?
Firewire is installed by default, unfortunately s.immer fewer PCs and the SD-Video (MiniDV) die slowly from synonymous. For the pure file transfer you must, therefore, sooner or later so do without Firewire.
The adapter is a waste of money, in my view, any price for a hard drive with Firewire synonymous .....

Now it will come back ....
I thought the topic has been done with the extinction of the MiniDV devices.
If not only with the adapter Pixela of 2001, which is how it works with in the form of a camera before.
It must be synonymous only time to act Highspeed USB 2.0 interface, slower USB connections are not in a position to transfer to the 25 Mbit / sec. Then run the tape must be synonymous's not slower.
A computer expert once said to me, it's almost impossible between the two standards to create a direct link that works then synonymous, except that any mini computer.

after this cam is very small because I thought they might with a Netbook to connect to and which have, unfortunately, no PCMCIA slot, let alone Firewire
Antwort von B.DeKid:
Also with NEM netbook this looks bad.
So I have for years NEN SonyPicturebook because the issue was not which has Firewire.
But the new small netbooks are just like you said without slot so you can forget the whole thing.
Firewire to USB is not fit.

And do not worry, the Jan has determined not to DV but rather only against what Firewire to USB miracle solutions to clients of the then so what are you've already fallen in the shop and has advised or has to sell something new needs.
