Firewire is installed by default, unfortunately s.immer fewer PCs and the SD-Video (MiniDV) die slowly from synonymous. For the pure file transfer you must, therefore, sooner or later so do without Firewire.
The adapter is a waste of money, in my view, any price for a hard drive with Firewire synonymous .....
