Frage von Auf Achse:Keep in touch!
I have in recent days, the "Dakar", pursue, and as I noticed during the interviews the following: The cameraman / reporter walk through the paddock, cling to ask a driver, and the analogy. The cameraman often changes the location and distance, waving to the car .... while the respondent distances and light conditions change dramatically, but the picture is always sharp and the exposure (usually) perfectly. In a nutshell: HOW to do that? I can not imagine that the cinematographer for such rapid changes constantly Aperture and Focus Ring MANUALLY can adjust to optimal use. Is it great s.den cameras have special favor or automatic modes can be there with aperture (depth of field so) rausholen much? Or else do tricks?
That would interest me in flames because it's important for my own work with the Camera! (Canon XH A1s and HV40)
Thanks and regards,

What is there automatic modes? Waum you should use this for not synonymous with changing light conditions? This applies to focus as Aperture.
Antwort von tehaix:
So actually the cameraman, the optics in the wide-angle turns, and then there's not much there s.Schärfe set.
With the remaining concentration, he can then readjust the aperture, which not even requires especially great sensitivity:)

Sure, automatics are a good thing that I like to use to synonymous. In the example of Dakar there are settings where I am sure that the auto focus is not currently regulated, if desired the interviewee is not centered in the picture or the like.
Furthermore, I notice in violent change of position with a strong light that we see almost no Darken / lighten certain areas of the image as in automatic mode in such a case is common.
Exactly such special identification features s.denen the automatic modes (exposure / sharpness) can be seen, here are hardly noticeable. Hence my question: how do they do it??

Like any camera: manual. Do I have to learn to stop - each one finger s.Blenden-and ring sharpness is sufficient, the rest is just skills. Of course you will go, with cameras / lenses that have this real mechanical operating rings synonymous.

Depending on the camera but who have not synonymous remote units s.der Cam.
Then sit in the "OB vehicles" or "Directing tent" someone who makes control via remote.

It regulates the Aperture and the manual focus is simply ne matter of practice and standards in industry. Exception: Steadycam or the ability to record / transfer with multiple cameras, as is the Aperture liked to take picture of the director to relieve the camera men,

Hello,
Stories with live or almost live recordings with OB vans are the cameras controlled in terms of exposure and color by this rule. Focus is manual, however.
And otherwise, I know in the professional field of EB-synonymous only the pace of manual Aperture and sharpness.
If there is enough light (about s.Tage) we have so quickly and so a small aperture high depth .. in conjunction with a wide-angle focal and appropriate exercise, which then adjusts already:)
