if you are a DVD recorder would substitute the result is a view copy. Do you want to edit the recordings s.Computer, however, would be an A / D converter is preferred.

Video 8 tapes can you with a Digital 8 camera directly capture via Firewire. The quality's just like VHS - Video 8 used to be.

This is totally new to me so that I can play with my DIGI camcorder Video 8 tapes and write it with firewire like the digital tape into the PC?
Is playing Viedeo 8 volumes of "healthy" for a DIGITAL camcorder.
Who's with this, I have not made known variant, experiences. (Question synonymous s.Markus, which I think is not quite inexperienced in this field.)

So how will the Video 8 tapes via firewire come to the PC?
Is there an extra set of cables for this? Have nothing yet for this kind of recording found in the PC.

Video-8 tapes can be Sonydigitalisiert with one of Digital8 DV camcorder. For this digital 8 camcorder will be high-8 tapes used. see Sony products. There may be synonymous used on the Internet.

As was already written, but I want to clarify it again: DV camcorder can not play back Video8-tapes, of course, not even because of the different drive format.
Digital8 camcorders can, however, if they have an analog playback function. The cassettes for Video8, Hi8 and Digital8 namely, all have exactly the same dimensions.
No one should confuse this with
Digital8 DV. The term Digital8 DV camcorder is as misleading. So something does not exist. One is the same: a Digital8 camcorder stores the same data as a DV camcorder tape only on one another.

I will now decide independently of the outcome of a Canopus solution for a hard disk recorder. The Panasonis EH 56th Did the movie "Two glorious bastards" of a friend on a Panasonic DVD recorder included.
