Frage von fabchannel:Hello,
I have a lot of material with my SonyDCR-HC17E up and wants it now
1. I play on PC
2. cut so that the ballast removed mitaufgenommene
3. the cut end with a beamer to project (I still have not synonymous with never handled such a thing).
4. the individual scenes, I would either run in a run one after the other, but one can click synonymous and within each scene s.bestimmte seconds can start positions. So how it is for example when RealPlayer is.
and all possible losses.
To edit, there is nothing. Crossfades between scenes would be nice, but not really important.
I have almost no idea how I should best proceed. I have something here in the forum read (especially the contribution of Mark
http://www.videoforum.de/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=camcorder&action=display&num=1118930406&start=&SID =)
Shortly my technical data (t'schuldigung, if important data are missing. Please ask, I'm actually born in the user, the only forced-depth knowledge appropriates PC):
- Fujitsu-Siemens PC of 2002
- Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2
- 512 megabytes of RAM
- PCI slots (not PCIexpress)
- No Firewire port, only USB
- 40 gigabyte hard drive system, with IDE ports
- Additional 500-gigabyte internal S-ATA hard drive, via S-ATA card s.den PC
After seeing Markus' contribution have read the above, I imagine the steps as follows:
1. I buy with a card for the Firewire port
2. and to a good firewire cable - camera at the end of 4-pole, computers 6-pin end
... and now is my imagination already s.Ende, s.hier come questions:
3. which recording and editing software? Is WinDV? Win DV surely produces AVI files. AVIs are the optimum for the output on a projector?
4. which file actually have the pictures on the mini-DV tape in my camera? Is the AVI already?
5. Can a projector actually a digital signal directly from the PC to include a picture and spend? Or, as always happens in a transformation which is analog? Does my PC s.Ende synonymous nor an extra card that is connected to the projector manufacturer, or perhaps have Beamer Firewire connections?
-------------------------------
As a stopgap, if I am with my PC not warring, I have presented to me, incidentally, that I made a hard-TV-VCR and buy via the analog connection of my camera over there playing. It would be silly of course, that the two digital-analog conversion and analog-digital quality is lost.
------------------------------
Well, would be nice if you could give me instructions as I s.besten proceed.
Greetings of
Jürgen

The points 1 +2 are okay.
3. which recording and editing software? Is WinDV? Win DV surely produces AVI files. WinDV is only one capture tool, ie it is suitable only for the transfer of images from the camcorder to the PC. Then came a video editing software application. If there is only a matter of herauszuschneiden parts, then you could possibly have with the movie maker to do when WinXP is. Other Programs you can find in my post that you've linked above (see item 8).
4. which file actually have the pictures on the mini-DV tape in my camera? Is the AVI already? The data on the MiniDV tape consist of a sequence of ones and zeros. The file is not in the sense. The latter arises only if the data on the computer.
Since AVI (Audio Video Interleaved) is a so-called container format, you can save it all, what with video and audio has to do. From DV-AVI is when DV recording to an AVI container is stored. That is what makes synonymous WinDV and the result is loss-free, because only the data of the tape in an AVI file "transferred", but not changed.
5. Can a projector actually a digital signal directly from the PC to include a picture and spend? Or, as always happens in a transformation which is analog? Does my PC s.Ende synonymous nor an extra card that is connected to the projector manufacturer, or perhaps have Beamer Firewire connections? Beamer have depending on the connections for analog composite video, S-Video and RGB / YUV and digital inputs such as VGA, DVI and HDMI. There are Firewire s.Beamern rarely, at least I still encounter None of such an input was.
In your case, the projector probably via VGA with the PC, because that is the lowest common denominator and to view pictures of DV synonymous totally insufficient. Optimally, the video images but not (see synonymous
Video recordings see s.Computermonitor (concerns synonymous VGA transfer) not good). As a stopgap, if I am with my PC not warring, I have presented to me, incidentally, that I made a hard-TV-VCR and buy via the analog connection of my camera over there playing. It would be silly of course, that the two digital-analog conversion and analog-digital quality is lost. This solution, I think even for the better. The losses caused by the analog transmission and further compression (from DV MPEG2) is not seen, but can be a hard-disk recorder directly with a video cable (preferably S-video or RGB / YUV) s.den Beamer connect and thus the typical computer -/Videoprobleme elegantly circumvent.

These are the normal requirements, which largely of a video-DVD are met. Man sets chapter marks, which can be started individually, but can be synonymous to play the whole DVD.
The loss of quality DV AVI to MPEG2 is reasonable bitrates minimal.
That is feasible, with entry-level programs such as Pinnacle Studio or Premiere Elements.

Hi folks,
thank you for your answers, which makes me a little bit safer. I have today Firewire card and cable purchased and begin tonight at times.
