We have a very very old SonyDigital8 Camera.
Now a new camcorder to her is because the Digital 8 overtaken genuine:)
We are "hard" to "occasional filmmaker" - Talk weddings, dog, etc.

But since so many experts are on the road, I wanted to do it again for advice:)

be a question first, why should it necessarily 1080p? The 1080i definitely have advantages in movement towards the p videos.
I would recommend my own camera. The Canon Vixia HF200. Which in many tests performed very well, especially in the Picture quality. Also the sound is surprisingly good. The battery holds for about 1.5 hrs and a 32GB card I get 24Mbit at about 3h film material. At 17 Mbits are the std to the 4. I myself am very happy with it but synonymous. Disadvantage: No special memory. You definitely need a memory card. The Vixia HF 20 anBoard has 32GB, but that's why more expensive. This camera supports 25p synonymous pictures but I have never getstet. Many cameras can only operate via touch screen, they do not, but only by buttons. I myself may not synonymous but these fat-smeared screen. If you can have a direct Comparison at a store u do not allow the display of unsettling.
