Frage von Blackeagle123:Hey,
I would like to know if I have (with my Radeon graphics card synonymous a GPU acceleration in CS4 Adobe) Premiere & After Effects and whether a quad here really (;) in the rendering time a great deal. Or would even be at the moment a single CPU with a lot (Ghz; eg 3 GHz) as better than a quad, which has less Ghz per processor (; eg 1.5 Ghz), but for a total of more (and then 4x1, 5 = 6GHz )?
I am using an AMD 9850 +, and two really good Radeon 4870 graphics cards.
Otherwise, there are plug-ins, updates, special effects, with the GPU-acceleration can be displayed in real time? Would be interesting for me especially the Trapcode effects.
I refer here synonymous to the article: http://www.slashcam.de/news/single/Nvidia-with-Adobe-Premiere-CS4-plus-Nvidia-Quadro-C-7328.html!
In particular I am interested in the GPU acceleration. Do I have to activate it somewhere, or is this still active?
Best regards,
Constantin

it all depends on what you want to do with it ... whether you are working with CG or with video and if video, whether with AVC base ...?
That was not really clear from your posting.
Antwort von Blackeagle123:
What is CG and what is "video"?
So I want with the CS4 (mainly PAL video, and some HD video editing) and are used for a "Render acceleration enabled the very fast GPU graphics card, and not just a processor. The two graphics cards are "closed".
In what format the videos are available in the future, I am actually relatively no preference ... If your question was aimed at. So far, the avi's were in the Microsoft DV codec, just like the premiere will. (; So, go with Avid OMF or MXF as in!) - Or what was meant with AVC base? : - /
If you need more info, of course, I am at your disposal:)
