We walk out in January (USA) and I want to take our private VHS recordings, but guess that will not work in the American video recorders, right? When I burn them now on DVD, I can not then just take DVD's with the region code 1, then it would have to go after all? A BETTER OPTION? THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hello,
The region has nothing to do with the playability, which has only Vetriebsrechtliche reasons. The important thing is the format that is in Europe and PAL in the U.S. and parts of Asia, NTSC. Unlike the PAL video recorders used in Europe that can play most synonymous NTSC, can most recorders sold in the U.S. NTSC NTSC only. That means your videos are not there höchstwarscheinlich run. DVD players is to my knowledge, most of no preference which format is played. So I think the DVD would be a better alternative. Allderings if you want to emigrate in January, you should begin to slowly burn to DVD, for that is synonymous quite time-consuming.

Thanks for the quick reply. So I can completely normal DVD's to take? I thought synonymous DVD's and DVD players have a region code. But I read that it is synonymous code free player, then we would pick us as one.

You just build your own if geauthorte DVDs that should be the region code no preference. The problem is more likely to digitize the VHS video. Are they purchase or homemade videos or TV recordings? When did you purchase videos (the problem with Macrovision copy almost any purchase videos) have these on it. Which can not be easily digitize (eg via video - In s.PC).

it is quite normal to "Aldi-VHS tape, only private videos. No problem?

Hi All,
PAL is technically more demanding than NTSC, which many PAL devices "backward compatible" show and synonymous NTSC video can play. Conversely, the only possible in exceptional cases, that is very likely to be either the VHS or the burned DVDs to run on a NTSC-Recorder/-Player.
Region code can be found on burned DVDs do not say such a DVD can theoretically be played anywhere in the world. Aside from the TV standards.
The computer, however, it should be no preference, whether he is a PAL or NTSC DVD reproduces. Here, then, there would be a chance to transfer the videos to DVD, first, to look at them s.Computer.
As for the durability of burned DVDs, it clearly raises the question of whether it is worthwhile to transfer the films. ;-)
I would take honestly Television and VCR. European equipment can usually also NTSC, PAL usually not American.
PAL is in demand in the U.S. only with (semi) professional DV camcorders, because of its proximity to Movies-frame rates 30th place 25/24 There is therefore synonymous monitors there, but to import prices!
Basically, I would burn the DVD instead of VHS tapes as a video CD. (More quality lies not in it anyway) then it should be in the United States, at least on a PC no problem, look at the memories. (Do not forget deinterlacing!)
I think that video should be synonymous CDs played in an NTSC DVD player, but that's just a guess.
