Great article, but what I think is missing is the reference that you have here AMD systems significant advantages. Dual-core Athlons have the inbuilt memory controller to memory bandwidth available. An Intel processor with 4 logical cores must be still be satisfied with an FSB, the communication must synonymous for PCIe graphics card and the HDD's wear.
Clearly more nuclei or grids have many benefits, but it must be supported primarily of the software.
