Hello everybody!
I recently Ghost Hound Episode 1 and 2 seen. Both have about 170 MB and have a maturity of approximately 25 min. The first episode has a Resolutionvon 1280x720px, second only 704x396px and is synonymous relatively blurred.
How is this possible? If the superior picture and the small size in Episode 1 just s.einem H.264 codec?
That would mean that a high definition movie on a single CD would fit?

I have been synonymous significantly greater Matroska files seen with a rather bad picture, ie, the image quality is not the container format, but the codec, right?

The container format is quite scheiss egal. Imagine an invisible container overseas, where a model sits. That is the file format and codec with it. The codec will decide everything. To your question: is outstanding H.264, MPEG-2 is relatively old and poor.

But what makes me aback is the small size in relation to maturity. The 720p consequences, for example, of LOST for download, there are about 1100 mb in size in little more than 40 min. One Ghost Hound sequence has about 170 MB for 25 minutes, so the result is relatively much smaller, but is still 720px wide and the picture is sharp.
Can the bitrate in cartoons generally lower hold? If so, why the same so low?

One question that I have on this matter already synonymous often asked is why there are Blu-ray, but if one or two DVDs are sufficient to films as a container to store. Or is there a quality loss, such as DVD and rip DVD on CD (s)?
However, one (the case of legal, professional) Blu-ray DVD-Rip-size a significantly better quality than a normal DVD with VOB files.
Why are not these days for people with Blu-ray player and Blu-rays for people DVDs with DVD player with Blu-ray rips sold?

The issue of what you try to address here is actually not allowed.
I do not synonymous what you hope for them, or whatever you want to know.

But to your questions versuch times I just what to say
..................
- Container and codec are two different aspects.
- Quality of the source is always crucial
- BluRay's because this is now the new standard and is synonymous in the future because digital films produced as in "almost" full quality on your TV can run.
- Animation in certain areas may be more "packed" are.

One of the rips as you call ..... you should not say anything here. Also, your comparison is not conclusive.
Only so much .....
Packed can be a good source source as synonymous PSP or Game Boy Video File
(mice Cinema) look good.

So if you are rips on "only" a DVD / CD, then you need to trust your flea market go.
It would be disastrous if the economy is on letting those customers would desire.
(The Divx / Xvid to DVD players run was ok but went to Divx movies zuweit) ......................

Of course, I know that people that are copyrighted movies to download without having to pay anything, in most cases, not legal action.
Although I have not yet so with the experience of HD movies, but know someone who is (in order to evaluate the image quality) Rambo IV as the Blu-ray Rip runterladen wanted, but the download is canceled for lack of sufficient bandwidth and the film on DVD has borrowed.
