Again and again the question arises whether by recording the uncompressed HDMI stream more wins in Comparison to AVCHD. To address this issue, I have performed a Comparison based on a motionless subject. The Picture was created with the help of a Canon HF-100 simultaneously via HDMI in YUV - and to memory card in AVCHD format. Additionally, I have created a difference image from two images. You can find out quickly sure what the picture comes from what source:

But thank thee that thou hast made them effortlessly! synonymous when I will then end up using, because I do not have-recorder with hdmi input. :)

tschuldige, but do I see any different! :) In fact, the difference is barely noticeable, which represent for me the following questions:
- Is the AVC compression really that good?
- Does the HDMI data stream may already be a part of the reduction, which is necessary for AVC?
To win, perhaps a little clarity, one would have to repeat the test with other cameras, and with moving subjects.

With such a motive is still only an IDR generated eh-frame. I would now just go out once estimated that a AVC encoder is not that just too much;)
