Frage von cutit:Hello
I have HDV in 1080i, which I mix with digitized Super8 - material wants. Now, the question whether I should be scanning the Super8 - Material in DVC PRO HD 720p or 1080i HD DVC PRO. DVC PRO HD 720p would be suitable for film certainly good, as it is progressively added and so the film material is s.nächsten. Then you should probably make a transcoding from other video in HDV 1080i to DVC PRO HD 720p. Would the great loss of quality problems and give the cutting?
Or would it be better to scan the Super8 material in DVC PRO HD 1080i?
(Ps: I cut on Final-cut-pro)
Thank you for your help.

is it in Final Cut Pro available in various formats of the timeline to mix? that would spare the trans coden yes. MC is in the least.

is it in Final Cut Pro available in various formats of the timeline to mix? that would spare the trans coden yes. MC is in the least. However, you can. Just everything that you throw into the timeline and not the sequence corresponding to only make sense if it is the exception (the exception of the exception is the all-rounder as a ProRes sequence setting). In the case here it would s.klügsten to choose the format that either contribute the largest share (that is, for example, at 80% video and 20% Super8) or, even better, which corresponds s.ehesten the target codec. Should there be an SD-DVD, it would hang. Should it be a Web presentation, you take the same s.besten 720p.
Best of all, take ProRes.
