Hello,
I'm HDV - Editing and DV-Beginners and accidentally pushed to your forum. Can I perhaps some basic questions? I would be for an answer very grateful, because I somehow do not weiterkomme.
My questions / problems:
I have a SonyHDR-HC3E that I referred to an intensive study of several test reports had chosen.
Question 1:
How can I use the HDV tape to PC hard drive and save intersect, so that no possible or the lowest possible quality losses occur? Disk space is really tired (2 x 400 GB) available, it should not fail. Which codec (eg mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg4, avi, Div-X, etc.) take s.besten this?
Somewhere I once found the Recommendation, the video in DV format to save it. This was so far makes sense if the average result anyway "only" on a DVD-R (4.5 GB) would like to burn. But what file extension as a DV format at all and with what program / tool you can create such a file?
Question 2:

Question 3:
I have with Magix Video deluxe 2006/2007 (and alternatively times synonymous with Nero Vision!) My first HDV tape (only an approximately 30-minute recording) on a cutting-edge laptop (Toshiba P100-119) with dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM out. Then I get the material after each other in a avi file as synonymous both in a mpeg1, 2 - and 4-exported file. In Windows Media Player can play all the while, the picture quality is only at 50% good-size display. At 100% and full screen (17 "LCD in 16:9 format) are sharp only sequences in which nothing moves. In the case of camera panning or moving subjects are normal (eg, hand movements during a conversation), the picture very bad (blocks of education, blurred motion, odd lines etc.).
Why is this just? I have really tried everything, the result is always bad and deprimmierend!
When I cam to the worst DV output signal can order new and re-capture in an avi-file export, even in fullscreen mode everything is OK! I am really stumped :-(
Can it possibly be that good even my PC hardware is not sufficient to clean the video clip? And if this is so: the picture errors described in the video file or the file is okay and only the representation of the large data density of the problem?

No, your PC should be absolutely sufficient. But you need a sound editing program that can cut the HDV. Phtoshop is a (complex) image editing program, but for DV editing is not suitable. Beginners tools for HDV editing are suitable, for example, Ulead Video Studio 10 +, Pinnacle Studio 10.5, Adobe Premiere Elements, Magix in the latest version, which you already are using - or Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition in. Of the output formats you mentioned are all highly compressed. It would be better times, to a mpeg2 transport stream output - because the first times the best possible quality. This material is synonymous to the camcorder zurückspielbar - and of then yes, you can output to an HD-ready plasma or LCD, capable of has an HDMI input. At least until a good standalone player available.

with the Pinnacle Studio 10.5's I tried first. The program must be a bug, because the recording ALWAYS immediately lost, no preference setting which I distinguished synonymous.
Is an MPEG2 datastream really the first choice? This "downgrade" I use the HDV video stream but at the outset of DVD and the quality is just the "half" of HDV.
Does anyone else about my questions?

How are you on? Your HDV camcorder is so synonymous to a mpeg stream to - or more precisely to a mpeg-2-transport stream (m2t as synonymous means happy). And this material at 1080 50i has the HDV2 Resolution1440x1080. Especially in the HDV range is not on SD-Resolutioneingeschränkt
What you need is just a piece of software that this material via firewire m2t in full glory on playing - and then high cut.
That the above-mentioned tools entrants this world is still not ideal for HDV editing are still mostly true. Although exceptions prove the rule - but I give the same preference for semi-tools, which are HDV editing.

I thought the resolution One on DVD combustible MPEG2 stream is something around 720 x 576? And that would be but about half of HDV (1440 x 1080). Or because I compare apples with pears?
About the "m2t" format, I read something synonymous, but I have yet no program or a setting tool can find.

If the material in a conventional DVD player with SD Resolutionabgespielt be - yes. And you certainly do often enough - a SD-DVD production, simply because the players are there.
But there are other ways synonymous, HDV material to play: Players around the network such as the SC200, or parts such as the TViX HD - or even appearing Xoro HDS 8500th Or you can create the m2t transport stream - plays the camcorder in the back and looks in the transition from the material from your camcorder to. Or you can play from the PC. Opportunities there - but then we must stop the material is not of HDV to SD down conversion.
