I Have recently purchased an HDV camcorder (SonyHDR-HC1). But I'm quite a loan what to feed into the computer concerns. The question is therefore
Is there any software which you can download it free from the net with which one can at least watch the videos?
Are there any settings or synonymous with iLink firewire which one needs to configure (IP address and subnet mask)

if you have Windows XP, call on the Movie Maker. So you can watch the movies on hard drive to copy or view.
If you want to spend a little money, you buy on EBAY for 25 ¬ Magix Videodeluxe2005. Thus you have an entire video editing software.

I supported the apprehension that the Windows Movie Maker not recorded in HD video, or knows anyone a codec for WMM himself to reproducing or recording of HD video is suitable.
PS: I have at the moment not so much money so I search for Magix on what to download (legal of course).

Although I already knew the VCL Meda player but he seems to have a better sound quality than all the others I've seen so far.
