Can someone help me for God's sake? Since installing Windows xp sp2 detects (notebook) my Panasonic dx 100 not more. 40 hours have researched the web, without success. Before the installation of SP2, the camera has been detected, I could cut it with Ulead films. Now the camera will not even appear in the Device Manager.
I can exclude that there is another camera itself or s.Editing program (Ulead, Avid), not synonymous s.den cables. Could it be that I have not made any basic settings in xp / something like auto play, etc? My notebook was in for repair, now has a new hard drive, then I contain old sp2. I downloaded several updates of Microsoft, has everything brought nothing.
I know this is a tiresome subject, but the problem has yet determined synonymous many others?
I want to make so much a movie of my baby ...
Has anyone else a link for an update of Microsoft? If I was to have overlooked one. Direct x plays a role in this context / with Firewire?

Hello Bettina,
never change a running system - never alter a working system. SP2 is notorious for an error in the interaction with Firewire devices:
