Frage von dennzus:Hi everybody!
I have long been on the lookout for a good, bright, dimmable light head.
In Ebay, I am now pushed to this offer:

Has anyone had experience with this product?
Are there better alternatives? (And by that I mean not the VL-3 video light of Canon).
Gruß,
Dennis

Hello Dennzus,
I have not tested this lamp. I would be in the gathering and the price more than skeptical.
35W, you can safely forget. We work in all of our head lamps with at least 75 W, synonymous with 100 W. But then these things are extremely hot.
The very compact design of the lamp wiederspricht usually a good heat resistance.
Also the Battery (which is synonymous for the always are) in the SONY Handycam bag would make me very skeptical.
Spare prefer a Sachtler Reporter 75H (identical Sachtler R50?), Identical with the Panthers. This lamp is tested, robust, homogeneous, etc. In the normal operation of the handle synonymous 100W.
In our company, I have a cameraman, a lamp with Sachtler Akkugurt PAG 13.5 V 7.5 Ah sold, since it is converted to LED. LED in the same light output and quality (lighting) but still significantly more expensive. For the used belt with Sachtler (cells 4 months renewed) but still he wants 425, - have.
So - as I said - I have NOT tested the lamp would be very skeptical but since ...

Uff ... a 75W lamp riot? Na holla ... but the interviewees see the next half hour nothing more.

With a bit of tulle and possibly even a filter film before burner remains of the 75W is not much left and the lighting is softer than directly with a dimmed light or smaller burner. The 75W has a little reserve when it comes to brightening in the sun or "illumination" in reportage goes.
Less is more - like in many fields. At the light, I see things differently ...
